Job Summary

Provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in their place of residence. Responsibilities include assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment, working collaboratively with patients and their families, and reporting observations and concerns to the supervisor. This role operates under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

  • A training program and competency evaluation as specified in §418.76(b) and (c) of the Medicare regulations.
  • A competency evaluation program that meets the requirements of §418.76(c).
  • A nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the state, with current listing in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
  • A state licensure program that meets the requirements of §418.76(b) and ©.

Experience:
At least one year of experience is preferred in one of the following settings:

  • Hospice
  • Hospital
  • Nursing home
  • Home health agency
  • Long-term care facility
    Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) program is also acceptable

Skills:

  • Ability to read and write in English and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrated interest in the care and well-being of ill and elderly patients.
  • Must pass the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist in accordance with §418.76(c), as well as a written skills test.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation support
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices and proper lifting techniques
  • Support nutritional needs, including meal preparation, feeding assistance, and monitoring food and fluid intake
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including light housekeeping tasks (e.g., laundry, bed making, dishwashing)
  • Monitor and document changes
  • Follow the individualized care plan 
  • Encourage independence and emotional well-being
  • Assist with prescribed exercises or mobility routines
  • Ensure infection control practices
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations

Requirements:

  • CNA Certification
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Job Summary

You will work one-on-one with clients, providing a variety of non-medical services that support their independence and well-being. This role allows you to build meaningful relationships with seniors who wish to age in place in the comfort of their own homes.

Qualifications

  • CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
  • Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
  • Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state)

Experiences:

  • At least 1 year of experience providing personal care or support in a home health, hospice, assisted living, hospital, or long-term care facility
  • Experience with dementia care, mobility assistance, or end-of-life care is highly valued
  • Familiarity with individualized care plans and working collaboratively with nurses, supervisors, or care coordinators
  • Comfortable performing personal hygiene care, mobility transfers, and meal support

Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Texas, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, support the patient’s overall well-being, and help maintain a safe, clean, and dignified environment. CNAs play a vital role in promoting independence, comfort, and quality of life for patients in long-term care, home health, hospice, or clinical settings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have successfully completed a state-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP)
  • Must be listed in good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry with active certification

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (home health, hospice, hospital, long-term care) is preferred, but not always required
  • New graduates from approved CNA programs may be considered

Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow written/verbal instructions in English
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful when working with the elderly or individuals with chronic illnesses
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
  • Must be able to lift, move, and assist patients safely, following proper body mechanics and transfer techniques

Responsibilities:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide routine, hands-on care to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans. Your role is essential in supporting each patient’s highest level of independence while ensuring their safety and comfort, in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.

  • Deliver resident care as outlined in the care plan
  • Promote patient independence while maintaining safety
  • Follow all safe lifting and patient transfer procedures
  • Monitor and document any changes in residents’ conditions
  • Report changes promptly to the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Current and valid CNA certification in the state of Texas
  • Must maintain certification as required by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
